Akshay Nanavati is a Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, philanthropist, ultra Marathon runner, author, speaker, and an expert on the science of fear.

Although Akshay had some business experience when he reached out to us, he was completely unknown in the online space.

He was launching a brand new personal development course in conjunction with his first book, Fearvana, and didn’t have any kind of email list or social media following, not even a Facebook page.

Campaign Goals

Akshay’s goal was to promote his book, Fearvana through both traditional and online media outlets: TV, radio, magazines, business publications, podcasts, as well as in-person speaking gigs.

He wanted to build credibility and an online following in order to connect with world class influencers that would endorse his book, sell out his new online course and find investors and donors to support his non-profit.

Our Approach

We worked with Akshay for about six months in preparation for his book launch. We helped him create a comprehensive marketing and publicity campaign that included building his audience from the ground up, connecting him with influencers for endorsements, book reviews, decision-makers at conferences for speaking engagements as well as dozens of media interviews in both traditional and new media outlets.

Results

We booked Akshay for interviews on countless TV networks including ABC, CBS, Fox, the CW, Cheddar, CTV, and more.

Akshay’s TV and radio interviews were broadcast on major markets such as New York City, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago, San Diego, and online, reaching a combined audience of over 12 Million people.

Building on the success of his campaign, we were able to book Akshay for a speaking engagement at Podfest, the largest podcaster and new media marketing conference in the world. Akshay was able to take this to the next level with speaking engagements at large corporations (that also purchased his books in bulk for their executives and employees), connections with A-list movie stars, and more.
